BREAKING: NFD Club To Be Discarded?
Posted: 27 July 2020
The Chairman of the ABSA Premiership Dr. Irvin Khoza has confirmed that the Nedbank Cup will resume on the 8th of August 2020, with the league set to follow suit three days later on the 11th of August. However, there is danger of one unnamed club in the GladAfrica Championship that risks being discarded altogether from the remaining games. The Chairman said;
“We have appointed a Compliance Officer from the Board of Governors who has confirmed that all clubs in the GladAfrica Championship have complied except for one that is still trying to comply. If you do not comply, you are out, if you do not comply before going into the bible you are out!
“Remember you go into the bible 48 hours before you are tested; everyone who goes into the bible must be negative, if you are positive, you’re out,” he concluded.
The name of the club that is still non-compliant has not been disclosed yet, with the league now confirmed to resume in just under three weeks, it is highly possible for the club to be mentally and physically fit by then.
