‘We Have Received Offers’

Maritzburg United goalkeeper Richard Ofori is set to leave the club at the end of the season for the bright lights of Gauteng after a stellar campaign he has had in KwaZulu Natal.
The undisputed nunber shot-stopper of Ghana has been linked with both Orlando Pirates Football Club and Mamelodi Sundowns in recent months, with the club’s owner Farook Kadiodia saying;
“Richard has had a great season with us and clubs have made enquiries about his availability. Obviously we have sat down with Richard and told him about the offers but everything will be clearer when the session is finished,” concluded Kadiodia.
The 26-year-old will see his opportunities of more regular football in Soweto than in the capital with Sundowns boasting in their ranks former African Goalkeeper of the Year Denis Onyango and with incoming prospect Jody February, he might just opt for Orlando Stadium than Loftus Versveld.
However, Pitso Mosimane’s club offers players an opportunity of playing and competing in Africa year-in-year-out. It remains to be seen where will the Ghanaian opt to ply his top-flight football next season, but it will definitely be in the City of Gold.
