Posted: 19 July 2020
The ABSA Premiership is set to reopen in the next couple of weeks and one of Orlando Pirates’ number one supporter has spoken exclusively to The Beautiful Game as to how difficult it has been without football.
Mandla Mtsegwane, born and bred in Soweto, says it was inevitable that he would support any other club but The Sea Robbers. The passionate Mandla told us how difficult it was without the PSL, saying;
“As a football lover, the past four months without football was very hard as we have never experienced anything like this before but we kept ourselves busy with the old games on the pay-television bouquet until European leagues reopened recently”
When asked how he felt with the return of the league on the 1st of August, he ecstatically exclaimed;
“I’m looking forward to watch mzansi diski again, and remember the exciting last games where the top four are fighting for the championship and bottom half fighting to stay in this league, so it’s really going to be exciting,” he concluded with a sense of relief.
All thirty two [32] teams both in the top and second tier of South African football have returned to training in anticipation of the last games of the campaign.
