Kekana Dreams of Bafana!
Posted: 4 June 2020
SuperSport United defender Grant Kekana has revealed that he still harbors hopes of playing for the national team in the near future. Kekana is currently in his tenth year at the club after coming through the developmental ranks under the watchful eye of Kwanele Kopo and has told us that he would like to play for the national team, saying;
“Yeah, it’s always been a dream of mine to represent my country and that is my ultimate goal. However, I understand one needs to work, one needs to be consistent and just always hope for the best to receive that call-up,” concluded Kekana.
The shy defender has his work cut out as he is competing with Mamelodi Sundowns’ speedster Thapelo Morena and Cape Town City’s skipper Thamsanqa Mkhize. However, Kekana has never shied away from a good battle and will be hoping to convince Bafana Bafana head coach Molefe Ntseki, with the national team set for a busy couple of months in preparation of the 2021 AFON and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar respectively.
