‘Sgora’ Laid To Rest
Posted: 24 May 2020
Lamontville Golden Arrows captain Nkanyiso Mngwengwe was earlier today laid to rest in an emotional burial in his hometown in KwaZulu Natal. The 30-year-old centre back passed on in the early hours of last week Monday. ‘Sgora’, as known in football, is survived by his wife and two children.
Under the strict lockdown rules, it was an intimate burial that was attended by family, close friends and a few representatives from his club Abafana Bes’Tende. The majority of his team mates also paid tribute to him yesterday when they visited his homestead and led in hymns and prayer for their skipper.
The Beautiful Game and everyone in the football fraternity would once again like to send all their thoughts and prayers to the family at this difficult time.
Thank You For The Memories ‘Sgora!’
