Wits Star Says It’s Not Easy
Posted: 17 May 2020
Bidvest Wits striker Gift Motupa has confirmed that it has not been easy for him under the current situation of the world pandemic the Corona Virus. Motupa has grown in leaps and bounds over the last couple of seasons after leaving Soweto giants Orlando Pirates. The 25-year-old has spoken about the difficulty the entire country is under due to the COVID-19 situation, saying;
“You know it’s not easy but you adjust from the situation because there’s nothing you can do. The virus is beyond everyone in the country and the world, so we just have to adjust to the situation and make sure that everything gets back to normal and we get back to the field to play,” concluded Motupa.
The big striker, who has a couple of international caps for the national team Bafana Bafana, has been linked with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns in the recently-closed January Transfer Window but quickly dismissed the links, saying “I am only focusing on Wits at the moment.”
Motupa will be looking to bang in the goals for The Clever Boys when the league resumes, with the hope of lifting the league title.
