Celtics Star: It’s Been Fantastic!
Posted: 7 May 2020
Former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane has filled us in on his time at Bloemfontein Celtics thus far. The commanding goalkeeper, who joined Siwelele in a shock move in August 2019, has been a mainstay at the club ever since his arrival in the City of Roses from the Sea Robbers. When asked about his time at the club thus far, he openly said,
“Ja, it’s been fantastic (pauses)…the love is second to none you know, it has helped me to settle in well and not struggle to adjust. So, it’s really more than what I had expected and I said it before that it’s what attracted me to the club…the kind of love they (Celtics fans) give to their players is special,” he concluded.
The 32-year-old shot-stopper also updated us on his injury, “No no, it was a quad injury and I have completed my rehabilitation programme, I’m now working on my fitness, so the lockdown has really helped me because it has given me time to recover,” concluded the Limpopo-born ‘keeper.
Mabogwane will be hoping to help the club reach the latter stages of the Nedbank Cup and also finish the season in a respectable position when the league resumes after the lockdown is lifted.
