Former BB Erzurumspor midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala’s move to Asia is still on the cards provided that the recent world pandemic the Corona Virus decreases or ends. Shabba, as he is affectionately known in football, was closing in on a move to the Chinese Super League in mid-December before the COVID-19 hit China and extending globally.
However, one source close to the player said “Ja, the move is still possible, the only challenge has been the corona virus but we are hopeful it will happen. Remember the talks between Shabba and his management team were already at an advanced stage in December”
The source added, “There were clubs interested in him locally also but he only wants to play for Chiefs if he does return to the PSL, if not Chiefs, then the move to China is still very much possible,” concluded the source.
Tshabalala has also been linked with a couple of ABSA Premiership sides including Highlands Park and his former team Kaizer Chiefs, with the player openly saying he would only play for the Phefeni Glamour Boys in South Africa.
