English giants Arsenal Football Club are under pressure to retain the services of club captain and top-goal scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubamayang, with the striker’s contract set to expire in the summer of June 2021.
The Gabon international has scored more than 40 goals for the Londoners ever since joining them some two years and has a goal-scoring ratio of a goal every game. However, with Auba yet to commit his long-term future to The Gunners, the club might be forced to cash-in this summer, with Barcelona, Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain circling around the natural finisher.
The hierarchy at Arsenal would not like to see the past repeating itself, with club superstars Francesc Fabregas, Barcary Sagna, Gael Clichy, Robin Van Persie, Samir Nasri, and Aaron Ramsey all leaving for free or on subsided fees.
The battle is on for The Gunners to lock-down Auba to a new and improved long-term deal at the club.
